I learned more than I ever wanted about ants while working on this story. They’re creepy and cute! This was the first time I got to use a WebGL 3d object in a site. I also had great photos and videos of ants to work with.

After I designed the piece, it was assembled in WordPress by our developer; once he was done I added the CSS. The author and editor ended up presenting this story to MIT science journalism class.
